WOYWW

I'm on time this week, even if I didn't enter last week because of me stressing over an mri scan on my wrist I was due to have. It went fine by the way, but I wont get the results for a while yet.

So here it is:

Not vey exciting looking, I know. There's the start of a card there, I'm using some freebie papers from a magazine, and a stamp I got off ebay for about a quid :) You can also see Mr. & Mrs Snail on the right lol. The piles of books at the back are ones that I've bought and read recently, just need to decide whether to keep any of them or donate them all to charity. Hmm...what else..there are some car-shaped post-its at the back which I saw and had to buy! The white tub at the back used to have jelly diamonds in but now I use it to put my used wetwipes in so stop them from marking anything.

And here is the other half of the desk, I had trouble fitting it all in one shot, its not actualy that big a desk though, pretty standard really.

On this side you can see my desk tidy, keeps all the bits and bobs together otherwise I'd spend more time looking for rulers and pencils than actually making anything. Theres also a cupcake card I made on Sunday, I'll upload a proper photo of that later. What else? Theres a glass and a cup lol at the bottom left, I always seem to have at least one on my desk, oh and my glasses are there too. Plus my xbox, which I bought from ebay yet I've only played on it twice as it makes my wrist hurt.

Now I'm off to have a shower and get dressed, then I'll be having a nosey round everyone elses crafty spaces :)

WOYWW (a day late...)

Yes I know, bad me, I managed to go for one whole week before I missed whats on your workdesk wednesday, but I've decided who cares if its a day late as long as the other WOWWYer's get to see my craft area. Right?

So I haven't really done much crafting this week so to show a photo of my desk would be extremely boring, and I remember someone commenting (Julia I think, but I could be wrong) last week that I would need more drawers than the tiny red ones my stamps are in so I thought I'd show that I have many, many drawers lol. Here are three, that are a filing cabinet.

This is the top drawer which has all my stamped images, card, mirri card, paper stacks etc. The post-it notes are my way are knowing whats in which file lol, I keep meaning to make proper tags for them.

This one has random things in like sketch pads, books, a sentiment stamp set my dad got me from America, and a lot of my embellishments which I really need to start using up lol. I think I need to re-organise my craft stuff again. *sighs*

Finally, this is my bottom drawer. Theres another sketch pad on top there lol, I seem to have several. In the purple box there is a load of card blanks and envelopes.  That box thats peeping out in the top right corner has a stapler in it that uses those decorative staples. I bought it at the stitch and creative craft show thinking it was brilliant but I've barely used it.

Oh and I know I said I haven't really done any crafty stuff but I did add paper to the front of some ikea drawers I bought ages ago. I put all random bits from my room in them, like my ipod and d.s chargers and so on. I think its really pretty now lol, can't believe it took me so long to do it, I might still paint the outside of the drawers yet though. xx

Hi all, I've just been to our nearby polling station and placed my vote. I won't tell you who I voted for because thats the whole point of secret voting :) All I'll say is that I believe that I made the right choice but only time will tell. Right now I'm watching home and away, where Miles has gone off his rocker!

Anyway, here is a card I made the other week.

I used a cuttlebug embossing folder on the card base, and my EK border punch. The budgies are a pic from a cardmakers library book that I traced, there are so many lovely pictures in the book, I'll definitely be using more of them.

The image on this one is a stamp from Kraftin Kimmie called Charlotte, I'm loving Kimmie's stamps, I only have two but I plan to buy many, many more. I also used my new nesties on it. The paper is from a old stack I have, and goodness knows where the ribbon is from lol. I have a habit of forgetting what brand things are and I can't be faffed to go upstairs and find out.

My first ever WOYWW!

I am proud of me remembering that its Wednesday and taking a photo of my desk so I can participate in "Whats On Your Workdesk Wednesday" Go me!! lol I meant to do it last week but the days got away from me. So here it is:

Okay so top right-hand corner are my little red plastic drawers which have my wood mounted stamps in, and the bus shaped tin which I put my latest made cards into. Also you'll be able to see the little snail :) Its one of those wind-up ones. Um at the back in the middle theres my promarker case, I love those pens, they're the first things I grab when making a card. Top left is my pen holder thing that has all my rulers, scissors, pens, kinfes etc in it. The teddy bear in a car stamp is one my mum bought from hobbycrafts on monday, but i've sort of acquired it lol, all the other pics are images I've stamped, theres Kraftin Kimmie's Suzette, a mouse stamp, and several others. Oh and I bought some quilling strips because I want to try and make a quilled cupcake I saw in a magazine.

Here's a photo of the things I got from Hobbycraft with a voucher I got for my birthday, I only went a tiny bit over :) lol.

Is in the middle of...

...tidying her desk. Why is it that because of my desk and crafty area being in my bedroom that it becomes a dumping ground? Hmmm I think I just answered my own question lol. So now I need to put it all away so I can photograph the cards that I have made recently, and then make some new ones with my recent crafty buys, including the lovely Kate Knight papers I got with a magazine today, and a flowersoft stamp (won't be actually using flowersoft with it though lol) that I bought from a car boot when I was away in the caravan this weekend with my mum and dad. Oh and the gorgeous mousey stamp my mum got my for my birthday which was on Friday. I also plan to join WOYWW (whats on your workdesk wednesday) a fantastic blog where every wednesday craft bloggers from all over the world show photos of their craft areas/rooms/desks. I tell you I am so envious of some of the ones I see. I won't come out with the usual mumbo jumbo about promising to post more reguarly, but I'm going to at least attempt to post more than once in a blue moon.

I'm actually getting organised!

I've got a craft desk, I've got a craft desk!! I kept going green with envy everytime I saw other crafters craft rooms/ areas, so I finally got off my butt and did something about it. I got a simple desk and a wooden filing cabinet to help me get organised. I'm not quite there yet but Ihave got to the point where if I need something I can usually find it within seconds. I've found so much stuff that I forgot that I had! Its shocking. Plus I'm enjoying doing lots of stamping, something which I used to find frustrating because the stamped images would never come out clear enough. I invested in a brilliant ink pad and now I'm zooming :)
Tomorrow I will take a photo of my crafty area (might have to tidy it a bit first lol) and some of my new cards. Fun fun. xx

Bad bad Bad bad Bad

Do you know I tend to get annoyed when someone who's crafty blog I'm watching just ceases to post anything all today. Ironic I know, considering thats what I've been doing, I guess life in general gets in the way. Anyhow on the off chance that anyone actually reads my blog, I felt the need to pop onto here and say hello. I have actually made two cards today, one for my mum and dads wedding anniversary on the 15th, with a cute and the other for my grandads 70th Birthday, although I'm not too sure if i like it or not, theres either something missing or its simply too blah. I'll post them as soon as I take photos with my camera.
